Frankincense from Dhofar. Rose from Jabal Akhdar. Oud that Omani dhows carried here for four hundred years — composed in Muscat by the noses behind Portrait of a Lady and Opium.
Scroll to move through twelve hours of wear. The notes arrive when they actually arrive, and leave when they actually leave.

The volatile fraction. Citrus and pepper evaporate fastest, which is why the opening is the least honest part of a fragrance — it is gone before you reach the car.
The composition proper. Florals, spice and resin hold the middle for most of a working day. If you only ever smell one part of a perfume, this is the one you are buying.
Oud, amber, musk and leather. The heaviest molecules, the last to leave, and the reason a scarf still smells of it a week later.
Note pyramids are published by the house on every product page. The timings above are how these families behave on skin — the reason a 17-bottle collection is worth smelling twice, an hour apart.
Drag the marker anywhere on the field. Across is how dark the composition gets; up is how far it carries off the skin. The house answers with the three closest bottles it makes.

A perfume house in Paris can buy any material on the open market. What it cannot buy is the valley, the altitude, or four centuries of knowing which tree to cut and when to leave it alone.

Hojari resin comes from trees that survive the khareef — the monsoon that turns southern Oman green for three months a year. The tree is cut, then left alone. What bleeds out hardens into a tear you can burn, chew, or distil. Zafar, Royal Incense and Voyage are all built on it.

On the terraces of the Green Mountain the rose harvest lasts about thirty days in April. The flowers are still cooked in clay stills over wood, by families who have held the method for generations. Dejan is that rose, put over smoke.

Agarwood is a wound — resin an Aquilaria tree makes only once infection sets in. It never grew here, but Omani dhows carried it for centuries, which is why the Gulf wears it and Europe does not. The house buys the wood and distils, rather than reaching for a synthetic.
The Land of Frankincense in Dhofar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The resin moved out of these wadis to Egypt, Rome and China for five millennia before anyone thought to put it in a spray bottle. The house is a recent chapter of a very old business.
A house in Muscat does not get Dominique Ropion to answer the phone by accident. Eight perfumers, and what else they have signed.
All of this photography exists. Most of it is currently a 400-pixel thumbnail in a carousel. Shown at the size it was shot for, it does more selling than any description of a note pyramid.

Every bottle is 100ml eau de parfum and carries free engraving. Prices in Omani rial, the same as in the boutique — the house does not run a separate online price.

The honest way to choose. Wear each one for a full day — the Arc above is the reason a two-minute strip test tells you almost nothing about a fragrance built on oud and resin. The cost of the set comes off your first 100ml bottle.

Three 100ml bottles in the house case.

300g of Dhofar's highest grade, in a hand-finished tin.
The house sells through its own boutiques in Oman and through selected fragrance retailers abroad. If you are anywhere near Muscat, the flagship on Oman Avenues has the engraving bench on site and will cut a name while you wait.
